A days ago, we wrote to you about expressing support for a resolution on Tibet before the California State Assembly.

The Dalai Lama is scheduled to visit California in April, and it is appropriate for the state government to honor him for his contributions toward peace in Tibet and around the world. Scuttling of this resolution would send an ill-timed negative message toward His Holiness and to Tibetans, who are struggling for their rights under a non-democratic government. 
 
According the International Campaign for Tibet: "The Chinese government-controlled press is taking pride in this development (Xinhua: California Democrats balk at resolution to honor Dalai Lama) as a victory for their propaganda efforts".

 

The voice of Tibet supporters needs to be heard in Sacramento. Please send a message to the California State Assembly-and the world-that Californians value human rights and democracy.
